To be Good

 

Nothing will ever be the same,

Because I met you, my love.

That day I saw you…

Beneath the weeping willow…

 

Your angelic countenance …

Makes my heart beat a cannon…

Vanquishing my enemies…

And making me a better man.

 

I sometimes wonder why…

Life is as it is—often unfair.

“Bad things happen to good people.”

I guess that adage is true and will always be.

 

I only want to live a good life,

Whatever that means—

Hoping that my life will be…

Honorable with appreciable accomplishments.  

 

Love, Honor, and Loyalty—

Values worth living and fighting for—

Are the cornerstones of my life philosophy.

To be good is worth the effort.

 

I love you because…

You make me a better man.

All my accomplishments would be in vain…

If I lost my one true love.

For many, it encapsulates the hope for a life filled with opportunity and success, while for others, it serves as a reminder of the obstacles that still need to be overcome to make that dream a reality for all.

Hello everyone,  I appreciate all the likes, comments, and follows, etc. I am grateful for all who’ve decided to respond to my character “Charlie Donut.” He is a kind, simple man who doesn’t always understand reality.  He loves to talk about his dreams.
